Terms of Service

Overview

These General Terms and Conditions govern the purchase and sale of goods and services in the Kiddo World Online Store, operated by Alma Trade d.o.o. (hereinafter referred to as the "Online Store" or "Provider").

By confirming that you have read and understood these Terms before placing an order, you agree to be fully bound by them. These Terms also form an integral part of the sales contract between the buyer and the Provider for all products purchased in the Online Store. They apply to both individual consumers and legal entities, though certain provisions — such as the right of withdrawal and warranty for conformity of goods — apply exclusively to consumers acting outside their professional or commercial capacity.


Consumer Protection

The Online Store operates in full compliance with applicable consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Protection Act, the Obligations Code, and the Electronic Commerce Market Act. Where specific conditions are not addressed in these Terms, statutory provisions apply automatically.


Prices

All product prices are displayed in euros (EUR) and are valid at the time the order is placed. Prices include VAT but do not include shipping or order processing costs. Promotions and discounts are clearly marked in the Online Store, apply to designated products for a limited period, and cannot be combined or accumulated.

The sales contract between the Provider and the buyer is concluded at the moment the buyer receives an email confirming that their order has been accepted. From that point forward, all prices and conditions are fixed and binding for both parties. By confirming a purchase, the buyer simultaneously commits to payment.


Promotional Codes

The Provider may occasionally offer promotional codes applicable to individual products, product categories, or entire orders, depending on the specific promotion. Promotional codes may be distributed via email, social media, influencer partnerships, or included in shipments. Only one promotional code may be used per purchase, and it will be automatically deducted from the order total.

All promotional codes are time-limited. If an order is subsequently canceled, a withdrawal is made, or the promotional code has expired, the code will no longer be valid and cannot be reused or exchanged for cash.


User Types

Visitors to the Online Store may access it as a guest (via a one-time email entry) or as a registered member (via confirmed registration). Both guests and members have the right to make purchases.

Upon registration, members receive a username — which corresponds to their email address — and a personal password. Members are responsible for maintaining the security of their login credentials. If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, please notify us immediately at kiddoworldtoys@gmail.com so we can temporarily suspend the account and prevent further misuse.


Ordering and Contract Formation

Orders can be placed online 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We reserve the right to temporarily disable the Online Store for technical maintenance or other reasons, and to cancel orders affected by technical errors. In such cases, affected buyers will be notified as quickly as possible and informed of next steps.

The sales contract is concluded at the moment the Provider sends the buyer an email confirming their order. This confirmation contains all relevant details of the purchase and is stored electronically on the Provider's server. Consumers may request a copy of this contract in writing.


Purchase Process

The order submission process consists of the following steps: Cart → Information → Delivery → Payment → Review.

In the Cart, buyers can view selected products, quantities, pricing before and after VAT, and any applicable savings. Buyers may remove items or continue shopping at any point. Personal and delivery details are entered in the Information step, where promotional codes may also be applied. The delivery method is selected in the Delivery step, followed by payment selection. The final Review step displays the complete order summary before confirmation.

Upon confirming the order, the buyer receives an on-screen acknowledgment and a confirmation email with all order details and contact information for any follow-up questions. Personal data and cart contents can be adjusted at any point during the process prior to final submission.


Payment Methods

The following payment methods are available in the Online Store:

Cash on Delivery — Payment is made in cash directly to the courier upon receipt of the package. The delivery service may charge an additional commission fee for this service.

PayPal — Payment can be made using an existing PayPal account or by entering credit card details directly on the PayPal platform. A PayPal account is not required.

Credit/Debit Card via Mollie — Accepted cards include Maestro, Mastercard, Visa, and American Express. Please ensure your card is enabled for online payments with your bank before placing an order.

Other Payment Systems — Payments are also accepted via Klarna, Przelewy24, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Sofort, and Giropay.

An invoice detailing the full price and all associated costs will be sent to the buyer's email address following delivery and payment. Buyers are responsible for verifying the accuracy of their information before submitting an order. Depending on the payment method selected, additional fees may apply and are the responsibility of the buyer.


Shipping & Delivery

Orders are dispatched on working days. Please note that dispatch may be delayed on public holidays or in the event of unforeseen circumstances. All shipments are sent via registered mail and include a tracking code, which will be provided along with the shipment confirmation email. Shipping costs are calculated and displayed during checkout. Free shipping is available on orders over €40 and during select promotional periods. Both delivery and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

Delivery Times: For items in stock, delivery typically takes 1 to 3 business days from the time the order is placed. If a longer delivery time is anticipated, you will be notified within 48 hours. For items not currently in stock, delivery may take up to 14 days.


Right of Withdrawal and Returns

When purchasing online, consumers have the right to withdraw from their order within 14 days of purchase or receipt of the product, without providing a reason. To exercise this right, a written withdrawal request must be submitted, clearly indicating the intent to cancel, along with the relevant invoice number. Requests can be submitted by email to kiddoworldtoys@gmail.com.

The only cost the buyer is responsible for in connection with a withdrawal is the direct cost of returning the goods.

Upon receiving the withdrawal notification and the returned products, the Provider will issue a full refund of all payments — immediately or within 14 days at the latest — using the same payment method originally used, unless an alternative is explicitly requested and does not result in additional costs for the consumer. The Provider may withhold the refund until the returned goods are received or proof of shipment is provided.

Returned items must be sent back within 14 days of the withdrawal notification. Returns are accepted only in original, undamaged packaging. The consumer is liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to assess the product's nature and functionality.

Tips for a smooth return:

  • Open the packaging carefully and keep it in its original condition until you are fully satisfied with the product.
  • Handle products with care — scratches and surface damage can occur, particularly on lacquered or polished items.
  • Returned items showing visible signs of use — including scratches, stains, dust, hair, or hygienically concerning marks — may be subject to a deduction reflecting the product's diminished value.

Warranty for Conformity of Goods

The Provider is liable for any lack of conformity that exists at the time of delivery and manifests within two years of delivery. A lack of conformity is presumed to have existed at delivery if it appears within the first year, unless the Provider proves otherwise.

Consumers must notify the Provider of any lack of conformity within two months of discovery, by email to kiddoworldtoys@gmail.com. The notification must accurately describe the issue and be accompanied by proof of purchase. The consumer must also allow the Provider to inspect the goods.

Goods are considered conforming when they match their description, are fit for their intended purpose, are delivered with all required accessories and instructions, and meet reasonable quality expectations for their type.

When a lack of conformity is identified, the consumer may request, in the following order:

  1. Free repair or replacement of the goods (within a reasonable period, not exceeding 30 days, extendable by up to 15 additional days where necessary).
  2. A proportional price reduction, or full withdrawal from the contract with a refund.

If the lack of conformity manifests within 30 days of delivery, the consumer may withdraw from the contract immediately. Refunds in such cases will be issued within 8 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of shipment.


Order Cancellation by the Provider

Despite our best efforts to maintain accurate pricing and availability information, errors may occasionally occur. In such cases, the Provider will give the buyer the opportunity to withdraw from the purchase. We reserve the right to refuse any order that cannot be fulfilled under the stated conditions. If payment has already been received, a full refund including delivery costs will be issued within 5 business days.


Personal Data Protection

By submitting an order or entering data on our website, the buyer consents to the processing of their personal data in accordance with applicable legislation. Personal data is collected solely for the purposes of order processing, payment execution, statistical analysis, and — where consent has been given — marketing communications. Collected data will not be shared with unauthorized third parties. For further information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.


Complaints and Disputes

Complaints can be submitted in writing by email to kiddoworldtoys@gmail.com. We will respond to all complaints as promptly as possible and no later than 30 days from receipt. Our written decision will be sent to the customer's contact address within 30 business days, concluding the internal complaint procedure.

We will always endeavor to resolve disputes amicably. Where this is not possible, disputes will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the jurisdiction of the competent courts.


Legal Notice

All content on the Online Store — including texts, product images, graphics, and video elements — is protected by copyright law and may not be reproduced or used without prior written permission. The Kiddo World trademark and logo are the exclusive property of Alma Trade d.o.o.


Out-of-Court Dispute Resolution

In accordance with applicable legal norms, the Provider does not recognize any out-of-court consumer dispute resolution body as competent for resolving disputes initiated by consumers under the Out-of-Court Consumer Dispute Resolution Act. Consumers are informed that an EU platform for online dispute resolution is available for this purpose.


Final Provisions

The Online Store reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time and without prior notice. Updated Terms will be published on the Provider's website. Continued use of the Online Store following any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
